THE HUMAN BEAN
PROJECT MANAGER + PRODUCER

CLIENT
ROLE

Its time for a refresh - and not just once, but twice. The Human Bean needed two new websites to appeal to their two different audiences and needs: one for customers, and one for franchise owners. The kicker? They needed to look like they belonged to the same company.

On top of that, a complete revamp of the color palette that resulted in a brand new look for their product photography.

It sounds simple, but it aint.

Take one brand and create two distinctly different but related color palettes with a consistent brand feel to appeal to two completely different audiences.

The Breakdown

Background

Far from their early days only serving southern Oregon, The Human Bean now serves coffee-lovers all around the country across hundreds of locations. Every year, their menu grows, shifts, adapts, but their quality never fails to impress customers and investors alike.

After 25 years, their website needed an update; servicing customers and franchisees alike. Two audiences, with different needs and personalities but a consistent love for the brand.

Goal

Design two website ecosystems with updated assets that are consistent with their brand identity that supports both their consumers and franchise owners. In addition, create a new library of product photography that aligns with the new ecosystems.

Role

As project manager, producer, and temporary account manager, I was responsible for balancing the UX design team, the creative direction and graphic design team, as well as the 3rd-party developers who partnered with THB.

I worked with the product studio team to curate and shoot aesthetic imagery that captured that showcased the product and elevated the brand.
